"Agent Salt" ("Salt" USA 2010)

Synopsis: As the CIA officer, Evelyn Salt took an oath to duty and honor to his country. Their loyalty is tested when a deserter accused of being a Russian spy. Salt is given to the escape and is forced to use all his skills and years experience as a spy disguised to prevent the capture. Salt's efforts to prove his innocence only serve to further raise suspicions about their motives. While continuing the hunt to uncover the truth behind his identity, a question remains latent Who is Salt?
One could say without doubt that Angelina Jolie has been one of Hollywood actresses that has dabbled in the genre of action films in recent years. Examples of this abound, but to give only a few, could quote movies like "Tomb Raider", "60 Seconds", "Mr. And Mrs. Smith "and to my excellent "Wanted", where he shared cast opposite James McAvoy and Morgan Freeman, among others.

"Agent Salt" is, in short, a rare film to classify. Is obviously an action movie that sounds like the great trilogy of Jason Bourne films, but with far fewer claims taken too seriously in itself. There is precisely where lies the greatest difference between the two films, as in action makes me very difficult to differentiate between the two tapes.

In any case, without further or a more odious comparisons paragraph should say "Salt", with limited plot and everything ends up being a brilliant action entertainment for any audience seeking non-stop action film for an hour and forty minutes of footage filmed superbly.

The script here was handled by the great director Kurt Wimmer, owner of excellent film scripts such as "Equilibrium", "The Recruit", "Street Kings" and "Law Abiding Citizen." Wimmer gave him "Salt" strong script, where it seeks to develop in the most tedious possible most of the characters during the first 20 minutes of footage.

I say during the first twenty minutes of the tape, because then the script turns in a very evident to a continuous action until the end of your footage, more precisely since the character of "Salt" to escape their captors decide to test a innocence increasingly punctuated by multiple suspects. Perhaps in that stretch, the script resigned a little argument with the seriousness which had begun, but it is also fair to say that the film earns significantly in intensity as the product of action, since the tape is not from that time to give the viewer a barrage of gunfire and car chases filmed superbly.

"Agent Salt" was behind the camera to a solvent director. Irregular in his career (it's fair to say) but at the end of the solvent. "Danger," "Patriot Games" and "The Bone Collector" (Great movie), were some of the interesting titles that Phillip Noyce what he achieved in his long film career. Four years after his last feature film "Catch a Fire" (tape drama with Tim Robbins), Noyce offered to "Agent Salt" a display of fast-paced action for almost 80% of the film.

shootings everywhere, both on foot chases auto, excellent camera movements and a highly accurate fitting for this type of production. Perhaps, in giving the film much action he has played against in terms of the narrative, as the final stretch of the tape it shows the haste with little evidence of the plot, with some situations and scenes develop very quickly.

It is also fair to say that ultimately the direction of Noyce has been very successful from beginning to end, providing a rush of action scenes filmed extremely well (I would have liked to see a little blood) that undoubtedly cause the delight of lovers of this type of film.

As the cast of the film do not really have much to criticize, but not too much to applaud. The script has not given space to many characters in the film to develop fully and in this situation come the two main protagonists of the film.

know that many viewers and critics literally hate the work in front of cameras that usually offers Angelina Jolie in their respective roles. In particular never seemed to be a great actress, but neither seems to me a disaster as many say. I think his performance in "The Substitute" ("Changeling" by Clint Eastwood) has been spectacularly good, so I feel that Angelina is an interesting actress in many ways and one of the few that actually encourages this type of leading roles such as "Salt Agent."

to go in final and concluding, "Agent Salt" is a great action movie. Although the film contains some mismatches narrative, it is also true that as entertaining to see tapes and well filmed as this is not an everyday thing in the film world today. This, in itself, is a definite reason to celebrate.

Movie Rating: Very Good. Read Review
